ITO JAKUCHU
Unsodo was founded in Kyoto during the Meiji period, and it is the only company that specializes in publishing books using the technique of Japanese woodblock printing in Japan. From their woodblock archive, we introduce the works of Jakuchu, the genius painter of the Edo period. The vivid fowls emanate strength, and the flowers painted within an Enso circle give forth a profound sense of life.
